Co-Founder of Oreck Karby, Peter’s practice focuses on corporate law, commercial law, realization and wills, and estates. Peter has acted as counsel and director for a variety of corporations negotiating both locally and internationally. He received his LLB from the University of Manitoba in 1970 and his Masters in Law from George Washington University in 1971. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1973. Peter is an avid skier and golfer.

Co-Founder of Oreck Karby, Howard’s practice is focused on real estate financing, real estate development of recreational, condominium, subdivision and commercial developments and large real estate acquisitions. He also focuses on corporate reorganization and estate planning. Howard has acted as Director to many boards, both corporate and community. Howard received his LLB from UBC in 1968 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1969. Howard is an avid golfer and reader.

Hal Oreck.

Hal Oreck was called to the Bar in British Columbia in June 2015. Hal’s practice focuses on advising privately held corporations, mortgage lending and realization, as well as drafting Wills, trusts and administering estates. He has appeared before both the Supreme Court of B.C. and the Provincial Court.He received his LLB from Cardiff University in 2013 and completed the National Committee on Accreditation requirements in January, 2014. Prior to joining Oreck Karby, Hal spent seven years working in Trading Credit Risk Management at the Royal Bank of Canada. Hal is active in the local sports community and an avid basketball fan.

Mark Rozenberg received his LLB from the University of Alberta and has been called to the Bar in both Alberta and British Columbia. He recently joined Oreck Karby as Associate Counsel. Mark’s practice is focused primarily on Wills & Estates and Family Law with about 50% of his time devoted to litigation.

Bahaa Jibu is building a general solicitors law practice with a broad focus that includes advising privately held corporations, mortgage lending and realization as well as drafting wills, trusts and administrating estates. He assists clients and senior lawyers on a variety of matters, including drafting contracts, private lending matters and estate planning. In addition to this, Bahaa regularly advises couples on cohabitation and marriage agreements. Bahaa was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2023 after completing his articles with the firm. Prior to joining Oreck Karby, he studied at Peter A. Allard School of Law (Allard) at the University of British Columbia. At Allard, he volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, assisting clients in civil matters and was a committee member for the Allard Centre for Business Law Student Committee. Prior to that, Bahaa studied at Queen’s University Belfast where he obtained his LL.B. and was a community service volunteer for Victim Support Northern Ireland and a public liaison officer for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. Outside of the office, Bahaa sits on the board for St. Paul Chaldean Church and is an active member of the Chaldean community in the lower mainland. He is a passionate automotive enthusiast, with a wide range of hobbies related to all things automotive.
